Mantle Processes Group presents at AGU Fall Meeting

Members (and former members!) of the Mantle Processes Group were excited to present their research at the AGU Fall Meeting in Washington DC. Abby Nalesnik gave a talk on explosive eruptions at Kīlauea volcano. Former student and now postdoctoral scientist Kuan-Yu Lin presented his work on the rapid obduction of the Taitao Ophiolite in Patagonia. Jessica Warren discussed the lack of evidence for serpentinites as a mechanism for aseismic slip in transform faults. Long-ago lab member and now tenured professor Suzanne Birner’s recent published work on oxygen fugacity in the mantle was also presented.
